Whole Wheat Yeast Rolls

After trying about 6 recipes for yeast rolls I finally found one that was perfect. This came from www.cooks.com website.

Whole Wheat Yeast Rolls
1/2 cup sugar
1.5 cups hot water
2 beaten eggs
2 teaspoons salt
3 tablespoons butter softened
2 packages dry yeast
1/2 cup water
3 cups whole wheat flour
4 cups white flour

Put sugar, butter and 1.5 cups hot water in mixer bowl and set aside to cool. When cools down add beaten eggs.
Sprinkle Yeast on top of 1/2 cup warm water and let sit for 10 min.
After 10 min. add in yeast and water mixture to mixer bowl and add in salt and 1/2 cup flour.
Mix until smooth.
Add rest of flour to mixture.
Then knead for about 10 min.
Place in bowl and cover, let stand until double in size
Once double in size, cut in half, knead, and then use as you would like.

This bakes at 350 until brown.

I have used this recipe for cinnamon rolls, dinner rolls, and loaf of bread and it always turns out fantastic.

Bon Appetite!
